Loughborough Liberal Democrats

A night of local success in the elections

8.03.07pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 4th May 2007

For the first time in many years, Liberal Democrat councillors from Loughborough and Shepshed have been elected to Charnwood Borough Council. Congratulations to Cynthia Popley in Shepshed East and David Walker in Loughborough Outwoods.

On Shepshed Town Council where no Liberal Democrats had been elected for several decades, Jackie Gee, Diane Horn, Bill Hutchinson, Cynthia Popley and John Popley will now form the largest single group on the council. Congratulations to them too!
